Are you ready to create for the most “terrifying” holiday — Halloween? Let your creative imagination run wild and be sure to use some small tricks for Halloween makeup from Anastasia Elis!
Hi to all beauty hunters! It’s me again, Anastasia Elis, and our main topic this week is – Halloween. And so, ahead of Halloween, I want to share some interesting tips that will help you create striking and impressive looks for your clients! When else should we create, if not on the most “terribly” cool day of the year!?
If you are a practicing makeup artist, your kit will be more than enough for Halloween makeup, but small details may come in handy.
For example, you can add colored face paint to your kit, which will help you create various kinds of designs. It greatly simplifies and speeds up Halloween makeup work, and most importantly, it is hypoallergenic and safe for the skin. With its help, you can create all kinds of designs on the face and body. These can be cracks, wounds, and play with volume.

You can also create fake blood using honey and two food colorings (blue and red) – it’s not difficult, but very effective.

It’s best to use runny honey, first add red dye, and then gradually add blue. The blue color is what gives the blood richness and realism, but we only need a very small amount of it, and you should adjust it to the shade that suits your look.
By the way, on our YouTube channel I’ve shared how to create fake blood, latex for makeup, and other useful things.
Your look will also be greatly enhanced by glitter and sparkles. You can use glitter to create volumetric tears.
You can make them by hand using Holika Holika aloe gel, adding glitter. It’s simple to use — just drop it onto the face, and it becomes voluminous and very beautiful. The glitter won’t spread thanks to the gel, it will set well, and will stay perfectly in place throughout the shoot or party.

You can also use decorations for Halloween looks. These can be:
It will look very striking. The only thing you’ll need is lash glue to attach the decorations, and then they will hold well.

Another small life hack is makeup stencils. You can cut them out of paper yourself. Choose a design that matches the look you’ve created and, placing it on the desired area, tap it in with eyeshadow, and you’ll get a very interesting print. It can be scales, bats, pumpkins, skulls, and so on. Only your imagination limits you.
That’s all from me. I wish you many interesting Halloween looks and endless inspiration!
